LEA 2-Step Header

51爆料 applications such as 51爆料 Email, 51爆料 Learn (Blackboard), and Cardinal Purch that use the LEA requires a 2-Step login process when accessed off-campus for all users.

What does that mean?

51爆料 implemented an additional layer of security via the Duo Mobile platform for applications which we call the LEA 2-Step. Instead of solely relying on something you know (like a password), this process requires two forms of identification, such as something you know, something you have, or something you are.  This approach is to enhance the security of your accounts.

What do I have to do?

After you log into an application with your LEA username and password, you will decide which authentication options to use as your 2nd Step:

  • Duo Mobile passcode (Duo Mobile App required)
  • Security Key (Yubikey and other brands)
  • Touch ID (MacBook w/Touch ID button + Chrome only)
  • SMS Text message passcode (cell phone that can receive text messages)

Note : It is recommended that at least two devices are enrolled with one as a backup option, especially if Touch ID is one of your choices.  Touch ID will limit the user to only access applications solely with a MacBook with a Touch ID button.
